Marc Warburton attended the LifeArc Translational Science Summit in London on Tuesday, joining researchers, clinicians, and organisations working to bridge the gap between scientific discovery and real-world patient impact.
A well-organised event with an impressive range of speakers covering the challenges and opportunities in translational science — from early research through to clinical application and health system adoption. The networking sessions between talks were particularly productive, with a real sense of shared purpose among attendees.
It was encouraging to meet a number of like-minded organisations with a strong interest in progressing work in sickle cell disease, as well as broader rare and chronic conditions. There is clear appetite in the sector for better tools that support the full pathway from research through to ongoing patient management — which aligns closely with what we are building at ProtoFlex.
We look forward to continuing the conversations that started at the summit.
